Carmela Ambrogio
As a little girl I watched my grandmother, mother and aunts sew. fascinated by their ability to transform a roll of fabric, beads, and lace into the most beautiful gowns.
Coming from a strong Italian family, my Nonna was a great influence, I simply idolised her and pursued a career in fashion design because I wanted to make her proud.
Designing and making wedding dresses is my passion and I have been in the industry for 20 years. Having worked with some of Sydneys leading wedding designers in 2016 I started my own business Carmela Ambrogio Couture.
Forming bonds with my clients so that I can understand their aesthetic and design the perfect gown for their occasion is something I pride myself in.
Creating gowns from initial consult, design illustration, fabric selection, to fitting it to the body and personally sewing the dress gives me great pleasure. I have access to the most amazing high end laces and silks from all over the world to ensure your couture gown is like no other.
